Why Meditation : |
|
Our mind is associated with various layers of thought patterns wrapped over the Subconscious state of our mind. The outer most layer is associated with worldly desires. Intensity of these thought patterns are derived by the false sense of identity by our actions (karmas), role and attachment to the worldly affairs. Our this nature derive lust, greed, anger, ego, hatred and jealousy. This derived false sense of identity is responsible for our "self-centered" behavior. The deepest inner core layer is known as the “True I”. Consistent practice of meditation process breaks up these layers of thought patterns one by one thereby allows to live in higher states of consciousness with increasing awareness and perception as the years go by. Finally the meditator experiences the true nature of Super-consciousness (The Divine Bliss), peace, happiness and prosperity.
· The self known to us is the individual's ego.
· By ignorance of our true selves we derive a false sense of identity by our actions, roles and attachment to the worldly affairs.
· Beyond this identity, there is another deeper sense of identity called the "true self" or the “Cosmic-consciousness”.
· Human being is unaware of his real “True” nature.
· Regular practice of meditation process slowly removes each layer thereby meditator experiences liberation from the bondage of these thought patterns.
· The consistent practice of meditation allows to live in higher states of consciousness with increasing awareness and perception as the years go by.
· Finally we become less self-centered, less needy of the other's approval or recognition, less needy of collecting possessions and social status, and become happier, healthier and more loving people and experience the true nature of consciousness (Bliss). This state is also known as Self liberation. |
