What is Meditation : |
|
Meditation is a technique of transforming the mind, the transition of external worship to internal worship. It is a path to experience the enlightenment. The goal of meditation is the Super-consciousness. Meditation truly begins once the thoughts and emotions have been stilled. Meditation transforms one's nature to the divine nature (Sath, Chit and Ananda) that makes one transcend the barriers of worldliness and realize one's connection with the Truth. Our thought patterns are associated with worldly desires, meditation slowly breaks these thought patterns. The consistent practice of meditation allows to live in higher states of consciousness with increasing awareness and perception as the years go by. As a result we become less self-centered, less needy of the other's approval or recognition, less needy of collecting possessions and social status, and become happier, healthier and more loving people. When concentration is sustained long enough, he dives into the Superconscious, intuitive state of mind. It enables him, in time, to unravel the mystery of infinite peace. |
